Hiroshima

For all who already checked out my last post… Recently I added a video of Iwakuni.

Photos of my stay in Hiroshima. The Atomic Bomb Dome, the peace park, the cenotaph and the peace museum designed by Kenzō Tange. Also I discovered a beautiful japanese Garden and a documentary about the A-bomb attack.

Children\'s Peace Monument
Another fork of six of the Ōta river.
Artworks made out of hundrets of origami cranes by schools from all over Japan.
The cranes are made in memory of Sadako Sasaki who was two years old when the bomb detonated near by her home... Origami Cranes close up
... Sadako Sasaki survived the blast but fell ill with leukemia due to the radiation.
Sadako Sasaki folded these cranes because an ancient Japanese story says that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by the Gods.
